Calibo Appoints Loïc Giraud and Adrian Heim in Leadership Roles to Drive Expansion

Calibo, has appointed Loïc Giraud as Chief Operating Officer and Adrian Heim as Vice President, Head of Sales and Marketing effective March 01, 2023. Both executives will steer Calibo’s growth initiatives, starting with building the sales, marketing, customer success and global operations departments, while forming strategic partnerships.

Calibo is perfectly positioned to be a leader in self-service development platform category for end-to-end software development and data engineering. I am very excited to be a part of Calibo leadership team and drive the next stage of business growth.

My focus will be on helping customers realize strategic business value by leveraging Calibo’s platform for their digital and data initiatives. I am fully convinced about its value proposition and look forward to collaborating with customers and key players in the industry to deliver this mission.

Loïc Giraud joins Calibo from Novartis, where he was the Global Head Digital, and spearheaded several successful and award winning digital transformation initiatives for the pharma giant. In his 14+ years stint with Novartis, Loïc played key roles as Head of IT Data, Data science, Analytics and Integration, Head Design and Architecture, and Global Head of Business Intelligence.He is credited to have established Novartis’ first global competence center for the distributed teams supporting Drug Development, HR, Finance, Technical Operation, and Sales. Between 2002 and 2008, he was employed by Mars, Incorporated– an American multinational manufacturer of confectionery and other food products and a provider of animal care services driving Analytics and Digital Marketing function.

Today every business is in search of smart ways to increase productivity and competitiveness by developing digital capabilities faster and at lower cost. Calibo has built an incredibly innovative and comprehensive platform which does exactly this. It helps businesses accelerate time to value on an end-to-end scale. I am super excited to join this incredible team and contribute to the growth story of Calibo.

Adrian Heim carries over 22 years of experience in driving Sales for some of the fastest growing tech companies (Snowflake and MongoDB) as well as some of the largest IT companies (Oracle and IBM). Adrian is joining from Snowflake, where he was the first country manager in Switzerland. He built the very successful sales organization from zero. Together with his team, and during his 4+ years tenure, they were able to win numerous customers across all industries and segments as well as built strategic alliances with partners. He also worked with high potential customers and developed them onto becoming some of the most strategic and vocal customers of Snowflake. Prior to Snowflake he held a similar – first person on the ground – role at MongoDB, where he also joined pre-IPO. At Oracle, Adrian became one of the youngest Global Key Account Directors after he scaled a fortune 500 company to become one of Oracle’s top global customers. In this role, he led an international team of sales professional across all portfolios. His career started at IBM where he spent 12+ years in and around IBM in various sales, partner, partner marketing and sales leadership roles. He earned his B.S in Business Administration at the University of Applied Sciences in Zurich. Both Loïc and Adrian will report to Calibo’s CEO Scott Sandschafer. According to Scott:- “Loïc and Adrian bring an unparalleled level of strategic expertise for us. Both are proven business leaders with solid track record of performance. I am sure, both will help build on the momentum we have established in 2022 and will play an instrumental role in steering Calibo to market leadership”.
